English-born Ghanaian defender Terrel Agyemang has completed a move to National League side Morecambe FC in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old right-back, who can also play in central midfielder, signed a deal to join the Shrimps on a season-long loan from Middlesborough.
Agyemang becomes Morecambe's 14th signing in the transfer window following the takeover of the club by Punjab Warriors as they continue an intense rebuild.
Manager Ashvir Singh Johal, who has been following the career of the youngster since his days at Manchester City, insists Agyemang's experience is a huge factor in their decision to sign him.
"Terrell is someone I have known about for a long time when he was a young player at Charlton. He was bought by Manchester City was part of the best under 21 team in the country, as they won the Premier League 2 title during his time there," he told the club's media.
"Terrell then joined Middlesborough and had experience in the first team. He's also got experience in the National League and in Scotland," he added.
The versatile player started his career at Charlton Athletic before moving to City where he won the Premier League II in 2023. Middlesborough quickly made a move for him that summer but sent him on loan at Hartlepool.
Singh Johal believes Agyemang will be a right fit for his team: "He is someone who we have identified will fit the environment we are trying to create.
"First and foremost he is a very hard worker, he has a fantastic personality. He is going to be a great fit for the style of play so we're looking forward to seeing how he fits into this team this season."
