
The much-anticipated Elite U-15 Boys Colts Championship got underway at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, delivering an opening day filled with goals, drama and promising displays from Ghana’s next generation of footballers.
Match Day One saw young talents from across the regions showcase their skills, determination and passion, setting the tone for what promises to be a highly competitive tournament.
In Group A, GFA Elite Academy Kumasi started brightly with a 2-0 win over Northern Region, while Greater Accra edged Western Region 1-0 in a hard-fought contest. Volta Region and Upper East produced a 2-2 draw, before Upper East held their nerve to claim a 4-3 win on penalties.
Group B also provided excitement, with Ashanti Region defeating Upper West 4-2 in an entertaining clash. Eastern Region overcame GFA Elite Academy Bolga 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw, while Brong Ahafo sealed a 2-0 victory against Central Region.
The opening fixtures highlighted the abundance of talent at this level and offered fans a glimpse of players who could become the future stars of Ghanaian football.
