Bibiani Gold Stars defender, Vincent Atinga, is confident about the team’s chances of winning the upcoming Champion of Champions clash against Asante Kotoko.
Gold Stars, as winners of last season’s Ghana Premier League, will lock horns with Kotoko, winners of the MTN FA Cup, in this year’s Super Cup to usher in the 2025/26 football season.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Atinga acknowledged the challenge Gold Stars will face against a formidable side in Kotoko but expressed optimism in his team’s chances of beating the opponent.
He assured fans that Gold Stars are preparing well and will head into the match without any fear.
“We have played with Kotoko before. We are in the league with them, so we know them. We are all preparing, and so on the day of the match, every team will prove their worth. We are not scared at all. Kotoko is Kotoko, but we are also Gold Stars. They are big, but we are also Gold Stars,” Atinga said in an interview with the GFA Media Team.
This year’s Champion of Champions clash is slated for Sunday, August 31, at Duns Park.
