The Football Association staged a successful eFootball Mobile competition as part of the GFA eTrophy 2025 on Saturday, August 23, at the GFA Conference Room in Accra.
The event brought together 12 of Ghana’s top mobile gamers, all competing for a place in the national eFootball team, the Black Asteroids.
After a thrilling contest, Onesimus_00 emerged as Mobile Champion, earning his spot in the Black Asteroids. He was joined by OG_Lamar1, who finished runner-up and also secured a place in the national squad.
Both players will now prepare with the Black Asteroids ahead of the FIFAe World Cup Regional Qualifiers in September 2025. Success there would see Ghana qualify for the FIFAe World Cup Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this December.
The GFA congratulated the winners and participants for their performances and reaffirmed its commitment to growing eFootball in Ghana, with hopes high that the Black Asteroids will shine on the global stage.
