
Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Goldstars, John Kwasi Adu has called on the experienced players in the Black Stars to showcase character and commitment in order to help the team succeed.
Having missed out on the 2025 AFCON, to be staged in Morocco later this year, the Black Stars has shifted their attention to the 2026 World Cup qualification.
Currently, the West African powerhouse sit top of Group I, accumulating 15 points after six matches, followed by Comoros (12 points), Madagascar (10), Mali (9), Central Africa Republic (5), with Chad yet to secure a point.
As the team gear up for the upcoming games against Chad and Mali, Kwasi Adu has entreated the players particularly, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus and Jordan Ayew to show character and commitment to propel the team to success.
“For me, experienced players like Kudus, Partey, Jordan Ayew and other must show character and commitment. The players should die for Ghana” he told Max FM in an interview.
The Black Stars will play Chad in Ndjamena before hosting Mali in Accra, with victories in both games crucial to securing them a ticket to the World Cup.
Ghana will regroup in Accra on Monday, September 1, to commence preparations for the next round of games scheduled for September.
