The head coach of Ghana, Otto Addo, has named his squad for the upcoming matches against Chad and Mali in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The squad features regulars Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Antoine Semenyo, and Inaki Williams.
One of the standout inclusions is Union Berlin left-back Derrick Arthur Köhn, who earns his first call-up to the team.
The 26-year-old, who recently moved from Galatasaray to Union Berlin following a successful loan stint at Werder Bremen, made 27 Bundesliga appearances last season, scoring twice.
Another notable addition is winger Kamal Deen Sulemana, who now plays in Italy for Atalanta after his switch from Southampton. France-based midfielder Elisha Owusu also makes a return after recovering from a long-term injury.
Young talent Caleb Yirenkyi is rewarded for his strong performances with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland and his impressive showing at the Unity Cup in London.
Defender Tariq Lamptey rejoins the squad, while Christopher Bonsu Baah and Ireland-based goalkeeper Joseph Anang also earn places for the double-header.
The matches against Chad and Mali will be played on September 4 and 6, respectively.
The Black Stars of Ghana will be hoping to overcome both Chad and Mali in the two games to inch closer to sealing qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
