
Ghanaian youngster Jerry Afriyie has officially joined Belgian Pro League outfit RAAL La Louviere on a season-long loan from Saudi Arabian club Al-Qadsiah, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm
The 18-year-old striker, who has been tipped as one of Ghana’s most promising prospects, will spend the 2025/26 campaign in Belgium after impressing during a recent loan spell with Spanish side CD Lugo.
His move to La Louviere comes as the newly-promoted club strengthens its squad ahead of a challenging debut season in the Belgian top-flight.
Afriyie rose to prominence in 2024 with standout performances for Ghana’s U-20 team, the Black Satellites, before making his senior debut for the Black Stars.
His quick rise earned him recognition as a future star for Ghanaian football, with his blistering pace, dribbling ability, and clinical finishing making him a handful for defenders.
La Louviere are confident the Ghanaian striker will play a key role in their attack as they aim to establish themselves in the Belgian top division.
The move represents another important step in Afriyie’s development, providing him with valuable experience in a competitive European league.
The forward has already joined his new teammates in training and could make his Belgian Pro League debut when La Louviere face champions Union Saint-Gilloise on Sunday.
