Former Accra Lions defender Christopher Acheampong has joined Bulgarian outfit PFC Montana in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old signed a deal to join Montana on loan from CSKA 1948 for the rest of the 2025/26 season.
Acheampong moves to The Glory in search of regular game times after struggles to command a place at CSKA due to injuries.
"CSKA transfers Christopher Acheampong to Montana until the end of the 2025/26 season. The 25-year-old right-back will have the opportunity to accumulate important playing minutes and continue his development with constant practice. We wish Chipi health, a strong season and successful performance!" wrote CSKA on their official website confirming the move.
The right-back has already made five appearances in the new Bulgarian topflight season and hopes to continue with his run of form.
Acheampong, revered for his pace and marauding runs on the flanks, joined CSKA in 2022 from Accra-based Accra Lions and has since made 65 appearances for the club in both the efbet and the Vtora League.
