Hearts of Oak’s Ransford Mensah has called on the club’s supporters to pack the stands when the Phobians face Heart of Lions in the Homowo Cup on Sunday, August 17.
The defender stressed the importance of fan energy in pushing the team to victory, revealing that the players are determined to reward supporters with a win in normal time.
"We need to win it for Hearts of Oak supporters… we are really prepared and ready for the game. I plead with the fans to come to the stadium in their numbers," Mensah urged.
Last year, Hearts lifted the Homowo Cup after a tense penalty shootout. While grateful for that success, Mensah insists that with the lessons learned and the coach’s tactical drills, the team is ready to avoid another shootout.
