Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has paid a courtesy visit to Premier League champions Bibiani GoldStars as they intensify preparations for the upcoming season.
GoldStars made history by winning the league title for the first time at the end of a tightly contested 2024/25 campaign. Their triumph has earned them a place in next season’s CAF Champions League, and the team has already begun preparations, although they are yet to know their opponent in the first qualifying round.
To show support and boost morale ahead of their continental journey, President Okraku visited the team during a goalless friendly against S. Inkoom Academy at the Mensah Sarbah Park, University of Ghana. He was accompanied by GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and other senior officials, who offered words of encouragement to the players and technical team.
Registration for the CAF inter-club competitions officially began on August 1, 2025, and will end on August 31, 2025. Clubs are required to register a maximum of 40 players. Under the new guidelines, 11 players will start a match, with nine players and nine officials allowed on the bench. Teams will be permitted to make five substitutions during a match.
