Ghanaian giants Medeama Sporting Club have commenced pre-season training in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
The club struggled to compete in the 2024/25 season but managed a strong finish to the campaign after the appointment of coach Ibrahim Tanko.
In a season that the Tarkwa-based club finished 8th in the Ghana Premier League table and failed to win any trophy, they were left disappointed.
As part of efforts to improve in the upcoming football season, the management, working closely with the technical team, has put several measures in place to ensure the team battles for trophies.
Among the key things, the team has travelled to the Ivory Coast for a pre-season training camp.

While in Abidjan, Medeama SC will have the chance to engage some of the top clubs in friendly matches.
This will give Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his technical team the chance to assess the team's strengths and weaknesses and address any shortcomings.
The hope is that the Mauve and Yellow outfit will return to Ghana as an improved side capable of beating any team when the new season commences.
