Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is ready to roar again for Leicester City after a long spell on the sidelines due to injury.
The Ghanaian winger missed the entire 2024/25 Premier League season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on international duty with the Black Stars.
Now fully recovered, Fatawu is determined to bounce back stronger as Leicester prepare for their Championship campaign following relegation from the top flight.
In a preseason fixture against Fiorentina, Issahaku reminded fans of his quality by scoring a brilliant solo goal â a moment that symbolised his return to form.
“The comeback is personal,” the 20-year-old wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to everyone for the support throughout this journey. Was lovely to be back again at the King Power. See you next weekend for the main business.”
Leicester will kick off their quest for promotion on August 10 when they face Sheffield Wednesday. Fatawu is eager to make an immediate impact, not only to help Leicester regain their Premier League status, but also to secure a spot back in the Ghana national team ahead of the September World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.
With his pace, skill, and hunger reignited, all eyes will be on the young Ghanaian to deliver.
