Ghana international Abu Francis says he is optimistic about the season ahead after completing a move to French Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
The 24-year-old midfielder signed a four-year contract with the club following a successful spell in Belgium with Cercle Brugge.
Born and developed at Ghana’s renowned Right To Dream Academy, Abu featured prominently for Brugge last season, making 49 appearances across all competitions.
He contributed one goal and four assists during the 2024â25 campaign, earning a move to France for an undisclosed fee.
Following the completion of his medicals and first training session with Toulouse, the Black Stars midfielder expressed his excitement at joining the club and settling into his new environment.
“I want to say I’m very excited to join you guys. I’m looking forward to making new friends and new teammates and all the best for the season. Thank you,” Francis said.
Francis recently featured for Ghana in the Unity Cup and will be hoping to play a central role in helping Toulouse improve on their 10th-place finish from last season.
