Ghana midfielder Francis Abu has expressed his excitement after officially sealing a four-year move to French Ligue 1 side Toulouse.
The 24-year-old joins the French outfit from Belgian Pro League club Cercle Brugge, where he had an impressive 2024-2025 season, making 49 appearances, scoring once, and providing four assists.
Following his successful medical and first training session with Toulouse, Abu spoke about his eagerness to settle into his new surroundings.
“Want to say I’m very excited to join you guys. I’m looking forward to making new friends and new teammates and all the best for the season. Thank you,” he said.
The former Right To Dream Academy graduate is expected to bolster Toulouse’s midfield options as they aim to build on their 10th-place finish last season, which saw them record 11 wins, 9 draws, and 14 defeats.
Abu recently featured for Ghana’s senior national team in the Unity Cup and is seen as one of the promising midfielders to watch in both domestic and international football.
