Former Bechem United midfielder Abdul Karim is expected to arrive in Accra on Wednesday ahead of his proposed move to Hearts of Oak.
The highly-rated midfielder is on the verge of sealing a deal with the Phobians after leaving Bechem at the end of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season. Talks between the player and Hearts of Oak are said to be at an advanced stage, with only final details left to be completed.
Karim, who impressed with his dynamism and vision in midfield last season, is seen as a key addition to Didi Dramani’s side as they aim to challenge seriously for the title this season.
His arrival is expected to bolster the midfield options of the Accra giants, who open their campaign at home to Hohoe United on Matchday 1.
Hearts of Oak have been busy in the transfer market, with several reinforcements expected before the league begins in September. Abdul Karim's signing could be announced before the week ends if all goes smoothly with his medical and final negotiations.
