
Ghanaian striker Kwaku Karikari has officially completed a season-long loan move to Serbian top-flight side FK Zeleznicar Pancevo from Danish second division club AC Horsens.
The 23-year-old makes a return to familiar territory, having previously impressed in Serbia with Jedinstvo Ub between 2022 and 2024. He scored 29 goals and delivered 16 assists across 68 appearances.
During his spell in the Serbian First League, Karikari made a name for himself as one of the league’s standout foreign players, gaining admiration for his pace, physical strength, and goalscoring prowess.
Zeleznicar confirmed the signing with high expectations, stating that the Ghanaian forward brings renewed energy and quality to the squad.
"This is Karikari’s return to Serbian football, where he already left a deep mark. His arrival is a clear signal of our ambitions," the club said in an official statement.
Speaking to the club’s media, Karikari expressed his delight at returning to Serbia. “It was a difficult season for me at AC Horsens, but I gained a lot of experience. I’m fast, strong, and I score goals. This club is the right place for me to grow,” he said.
The former Liberty Professionals forward is yet to earn a senior cap for Ghana but remains a prospect to watch in European football.
