Former Arsenal and Ghana international midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
The 32-year-old is facing five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, all of which he denies. The court imposed several conditions as part of his bail.
First, Partey is barred from making any contact with the three women involved in the case. This measure aims to protect the complainants, whose identities are protected under UK law.
Secondly, he must notify police authorities of any changes to his residential address. This requirement ensures law enforcement can monitor his movements throughout the legal process.
In addition, Partey is obligated to inform police of any international travel. This restriction is intended to prevent any attempt to leave the country without proper oversight.
Lastly, the midfielder must appear for his next scheduled court hearing at the Old Bailey in September.
These terms follow a three-year investigation by the Metropolitan Police, which began in February 2022. Partey was first arrested in July 2022 after one of the alleged incidents was reported.
The legal proceedings mark a significant chapter in the career of the former Premier League star, who remains at liberty pending further court appearances.
