Accra Hearts of Oak have ramped up their preparations for the upcoming season by relocating their pre-season training to the Army Combat Training School in Teshie.
This move marks the beginning of the second phase of their intensive pre-season programme, following several weeks of initial groundwork at their Kpobiman training facility.
Under the guidance of head coach Didi Dramani, the team is undergoing a rigorous training regime focused on enhancing physical endurance, developing mental fortitude, and building a resilient squad culture.
The sessions are deliberately structured to test limits and foster unity among the players and technical staff.
“The idea is to assess the physical status of every individual and strengthen their capacity to withstand pressureâboth physically and mentally,” Dramani said. “This is about knowing your limits and then going beyond them.”
The Teshie camp’s training routines are anchored in sports science, with the club’s technical team closely monitoring recovery and injury prevention, despite the increased workload.
“This is not just about pushing hard; it’s about pushing smart,” a member of the fitness team explained.
“We’re building a team that’s not just strong, but durable and mentally equipped to deal with the demands of a full season.”
The Phobians will maintain this phase of training for several more days before transitioning into tactical and match-preparation sessions.
