Solomon Owusu believes joining Fredrikstad FK is the right step to push his career to new heights.
The Norwegian-Ghanaian has signed a deal that keeps him at FFK until the end of the year.
"I have spoken with Andreas and the coaching team, and what is being built at the club and the way it is being worked on is what triggers me the most," says Owusu.
"I feel that in Fredrikstad I can take a step forward in my career, both physically and in terms of football."
The 29-year-old midfielder wrapped up his final game for Odd on Wednesday in the OBOS-ligaen before making the switch. Known for his energy, tactical awareness, and leadership, Owusu now prepares to wear Fredrikstad’s red and white as they gear up for life in the Eliteserien.
Owusu arrives with a rich football journey behind him. He played more than 120 matches for Odd and had earlier stints with Raufoss and Follo. In total, he boasts 94 appearances in Norway’s top division and over 60 in the second tier, an asset for a team seeking stability and fight in midfield.
Fredrikstad FK will also count on him in the Norwegian Cup, hoping his experience shines through. With the season heating up, fans are eager to see what Owusu adds to their campaign.
