Fredrikstad FK sports manager Anders Jensen believes Solomon Owusu is the perfect fit for the club’s ambitions as they prepare for a crucial stage of the season.
The Norwegian-Ghanaian has signed a deal that keeps him at FFK until the end of the year.
“We are happy to have Solo in place. He is a brilliant guy who will enrich the dressing room and has good technical qualities,” Jensen said, confirming that Owusu could be in the squad for this weekend’s clash against Tromsø.
The 29-year-old midfielder wrapped up his final game for Odd on Wednesday in the OBOS-ligaen before making the switch. Known for his energy, tactical awareness, and leadership, Owusu now prepares to wear Fredrikstad’s red and white as they gear up for life in the Eliteserien.
Owusu arrives with a rich football journey behind him. He played more than 120 matches for Odd and had earlier stints with Raufoss and Follo. In total, he boasts 94 appearances in Norway’s top division and over 60 in the second tier, an asset for a team seeking stability and fight in midfield.
Fredrikstad FK will also count on him in the Norwegian Cup, hoping his experience shines through. With the season heating up, fans are eager to see what Owusu adds to their campaign.
