The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the full calendar for the 2025/26 Ghana FA Cup, outlining the key dates for the nation’s premier knockout football competition.
The tournament is scheduled to begin over the weekend of October 24, 2025, and will conclude with the grand finale set for either May 30 or 31, 2026.
The GFA says the timeline was strategically developed to ensure all domestic competitions wrap up before the start of the 23rd FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on June 11, 2026.
As part of the arrangement, the bulk of the FA Cup ties will be played on weekends, with only a limited number of fixtures in the Round of 64 and Round of 32 allowed to be scheduled midweek.
Meanwhile, all matches in the Women’s FA Cup will be held on weekends to ensure consistency in participation and audience reach.
The GFA says the calendar has been structured to enhance coordination among the various domestic football competitions and to maintain alignment with international fixtures.
Officials also assured stakeholders of their commitment to a smooth and disciplined execution of the calendar, with the aim of delivering an exciting and well-organised cup season that maintains the integrity and competitiveness of Ghana’s football landscape.
