Dennis Duah is ready for a new challenge after joining Energie Cottbus on a one-year loan from SG Dynamo Dresden.
The 21-year-old defender impressed during his trial weeks and the Austrian training camp, earning the number 15 jersey at his new club.
Born in Hagenow and raised in Hamburg, Dennis grew up playing for local teams like VfL Lohbrügge and Niendorfer TSV before advancing to the youth academies of FC St. Pauli and Hamburger SV. His development through HSV’s ranks took him up to the second team in the Regionalliga Nordost.
Last summer, Dynamo Dresden brought in Dennis, hoping he could strengthen their defense, but he didn’t feature in the first team. Now, Energie Cottbus offers him the chance to gain valuable experience and prove himself in the Regionalliga Nord.
Duah has already made 78 appearances in the Regionalliga and 27 in the junior Bundesliga. This loan could be the key step in his promising career.
