Shayibu Abubakari says he is excited to join Asante Kotoko and is relishing the opportunity to work alongside fellow right-back Lord Amoah following the completion of his transfer to the club.The 21-year-old defender sealed a three-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors after successfully passing his medical.He joins from Karela United, having previously represented Real Tamale United and spent time in the Czech Republic with Mlad Boleslav.Lord Amoah, who joined Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea last season, made 21 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and is currently first choice in the right-back role.Abubakaris arrival is expected to intensify competition for the position, especially with Emmanuel Kotei still recovering from a long-term ACL injury.Speaking to the club's media, Abubakari said, This is a great environment to learn, and Im particularly looking forward to working with Lord Amoah and pushing myself every day.
