Belgian-Ghanaian forward Jeremy Doku opens up on plan to use YouTube Channel to preach the gospel to change lives
Belgian forward of Ghanaian descent, Jeremy Doku, has disclosed that he plans to create a YouTube Channel dedicated to preaching the gospel and strengthening the faith of Christians across the globe. According to the Manchester City forward, the plan is not to make money through the channel but to use his influence to get people closer to God.Speaking in an interview with Mission Ballers, Doku said it is important to show the other side of footballers beyond the money they have. Why I want to start YouTube is, you know, in our lives as footballers, people have a certain view of what it is, and footballers, when they show their life, they show only the good things. The vacation, the money, and the highlights. They dont show the difficult moments, the moment when you are injured. Thats one part I want to show. The bigger part I want to show is my faith. Because I changed my life. I was saved and I was reborn by a friend. God worked through a friend that I play with in the national team. His name is Dodi Lukbakio, and that changed my life. I dont care about the money the YouTube channel is going to make or the likes, I dont care. If I can open someones mind or heart to see what I saw and to go deeper in their Christianity, I will be happy. Even if it will be one person. If I can use the influence I have on people, then Im happy, Jeremy Doku shared.Despite having a clear plan of what he wants to do, it is unclear when Jeremy Doku will set up his YouTube Channel to commence this new project. The talented youngster is currently on holiday in Ghana but will return to England very soon for pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
