Ghanaian forward Edmund Baidoo nets wining goal for Red Bull Salzburg in friendly against Qarabag FK
Ghanaian attacker Edmund Baidoo climbed off the Red Bull Salzburg bench on Tuesday evening to score the winning goal for the side in their friendly match against Qarabag FK.The teenager and his teammates are currently having pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 football season.As part of their preparations, the Austrian club engaged Qarabag FK from Azerbaijan today to give the technical team the chance to assess players and try different ideas.In the friendly, Edmund Baidoo made the matchday squad but missed out on a starting role.At halftime, when the score was 1-1, the Ghanaian forward was introduced into the game, replacing Yorbe Vertessen.Just 10 minutes after coming on, the promising attacker was presented with a good chance and scored with a fine effort.His strike sealed a 2-1 win for Red Bull Salzburg, boosting the teams morale ahead of the new football season.On the matchday, Sota Kitano netted the other goal for Red Bull Salzburg in the 29th minute. Nariman Akhundzade grabbed the consolation goal for Qarabag FK in the 43rd minute.
