Ghanaian international Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has expressed delight after participating in his first training session with Swiss Challenge League side FC Aarau.The 24-year-old joined his new teammates on the pitch for the first time on Tuesday, with the club posting highlights of the session on social media.Im happy to be here. Barnieh said in a short message to fans.The forward signed a two-year contract with Aarau after parting ways with Swiss Super League side FC Zrich.His contract with Zrich was mutually terminated earlier this summer, offering him a chance to restart his European journey with a club targeting promotion to the top flight.Barnieh initially joined Zrich in January 2023 from Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak, where he had established himself as one of the most promising young talents in West Africa.He went on to make 50 appearances for Zrich in all competitions, scoring twice and providing four assists.
