Hearts of Oak Communications Director, Opare Addo, has emphasized the need for all stakeholders to strictly adhere to enhanced safety protocols to prevent security breaches at football matches.He made this call after the Ghana Football Association charged the club for allowing their fans to access the safe zone of the Legon Stadium on Saturday during their game against Young Apostles.The new measures were introduced following the tragic stabbing of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong, also known as Pooley, at Nana Koronmansah Park in Nsoatre.After the incident, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with football stakeholders and the Ghana Police Service, introduced new security measures to ensure safety at football events.These include the creation of a Sports Police Unit, the introduction of sports security training at the Police Training Academy, and the appointment of Regional Sports Officers to oversee security.Speaking to Asempa FM, Opare Addo stressed that Hearts of Oak is committed to educating its members on the protocols.All stakeholders at Hearts of Oak discussed how to educate everyone close to the club on the enhanced safety protocols so that we dont go against them, he told Asempa FM.We all have to play our roles well so that we can enjoy our game and always go home safely.
