We struggled to execute our game plan against Hearts of Oak â?? Young Apostles coach Abdul Bashiru
Young Apostles head coach Abdul Bashiru admitted his side struggled to implement their game plan in their 2-0 defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak.Goals from Michael Awuah and Hamza Issah secured a comfortable victory for Hearts of Oak, leaving Young Apostles searching for answers after a lackluster performance. It is very difficult to win this kind of encounter... Our boys didn't get their rhythm and also player performance in the league. In this kind of matches if you want to win as well you have to defend well and score and we didn't do it, and Hearts of Oak, they did it very well. So I think they are far, far better than us and they deserve the three points, Bashiru admitted.Despite the loss, the coach remains focused on his team's primary goal staying in the Premier League. Our target is to stay in the Premier League... Our next game is Accra Lions at home, so we are not going to take our foot off the pedal. We have to go back home, work, and get the three points.Young Apostles will host Accra Lions on March 16.
