Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum says players are rusty despite Legon Cities win
Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Ogum has revealed that his players are struggling with match fitness despite their 2-0 win over Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League.Ogum attributed the rustiness to the team's extended break following the tragic death of fan Francis Frimpong.They are rusty, and when players return, especially after such emotional pain, you dont push them immediately.The coach emphasised the need for a gradual return to intensity. We have to try and intensify our training... It has to be a gradual processlow to medium to high intensity.Kotoko's win took them to the top of the league table, but Ogum is focused on getting his players back to full fitness.The team faces an FA Cup clash against Sekondi Eleven Wise and a league match against Samartex next.
