Black Stars coach Otto Addo meets Belgium-born midfielder Pierre Dwomoh
Head coach of the senior national team, the Black Stars has met talented Belgium youth international Pierre Dwomoh following his visit to England.Addo is on an European tour, scouting Ghanaian players ahead of the resumption of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March.The Black Stars trainer has met several top players including captain Thomas Partey and Turkey-based duo Alexander Djiku and Jerome Opoku.As part of his scouting, the former Borussia Dortmund player has also been speaking to players with Ghanaian origin.Dwomoh, who plays for Watford in England, has represented Belgium at youth level and remains eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana at senior level due to his parents.In the past three years, the Ghana FA has been successful in convincing footballers with heritage from the West African nation to represent them, including the likes of Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo.Ghana's failure to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations has led to serious measures to beef up the squad before the World Cup qualifiers returns.Although it is unclear if Dwomoh will be available for the March window, he remains under the radar of Ghana.
