Ghanaian striker Elvis Manu has faced his second successive relegation from the Turkish top-flight league following Akhisarspor's 2-1 defeat against Fenerbahce over the weekend.
Akhisarspor seven-year spell in the league ended last Saturday after suffering a 2-1 loss against Fenebahce.
Having picked 25 points from 32 games, Akhisarspor need to record a positive result against the Canaries to hold on to a slim chance of pushing relegation rivals Bursaspor and Erzurum BB to the final two games of the campaign.
But goals from Roberto Soldado and Nabil Dirar in the 28 and 30 minute respectively put Fenerbahce condemned the visitors to relegation despite grabbing a face-saving goal through Helder Barbosa on the stroke of half time.
The result left Cem Kavcak's men at the foot of the table and have no mathematical chance of retaining their league status for next season.
It is the second consecutive times players such as Manu and Avdija Vrsajevic have suffered relegation in the Turkish league.
Manu was a member of the Genclerbirligi side that were demoted from league last season with Vrsajevic experiencing the same fate that term with Osmanlispor.
Despite the Green and Black lads fall from the top division, they still have a chance to finish the season with a flourish as they engage Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup final on May, 15.
Manu has registered two assists and scored six league goals for the club in the campaign.
