Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Jung hopes to make injury return before winter break

Germany-born Ghanaian defensive midfielder Gideon Jung is hoping to make a return for Hamburger SV before the winter break after being kept out of action since July with injury.

He sustained a serious knee injury and should actually return in the new year.

The 23-year-old was operated on in July because of cartilage damage in the left knee. Now the young talent already speaks of a possible comeback before the winter break.

"I hope I can play a game before the break. Everything is on a good way. The knee is no longer thick, "said Jung of the" Bild "newspaper.

Jung is eligible to play for Ghana in future despite making five appearances for Germany U-21.
