The 26-year-old arrived at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Friday and was unveiled by the Blues.
Acquah has remained in the Metropolitan City of Florence and make his debut against Cagliari on Sunday in their opening fixture.
It is been reported that Empoli paid something in excess of €1,000,000 for the long deal.
Acquah played three season with Torino since 2015 and his contract is due to expire next summer.
He scored five goals in 71 league appearances during his three-year stay at Torino.
