French born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah is excited with Anderlecht's preseason preparations ahead of the new Jupiler season in Belgium.
The Ghanaian played a part of the club's preseason victory over Stade Rennais on Sunday. Anderlecht ended its preparation over the weekend with a win against Stade Rennes.
The win adds to victories over Ajax and PSV and Dennis Appiah is happy as the Belgians round off an exciting preseason campaign.
"We started the match with a lot of intensity", Dennis Appiah said after the game. "We quickly tasted that first goal, but the fact that we did not kick in the second penalty kick reduced morale for a while, and we played with ten, so we pulled back a bit later."
"But this is good for confidence and for the start of the competition, it always feels good to win a French team, we have had a good preparation and we have not lost a match." We won matches against strong teams. But now the competition is starting again and that is the most important thing: it is then that we have to be there and start right away. "
"Dat is goed voor het vertrouwen, het voelt altijd goed om te winnen van een Franse ploeg"
"C’est bon pour la confiance, ça fait toujours du bien de battre une équipe française" ????
