
Real Tamale United board member Jones Alhassan Abu fears the club could go extinct because its deepening financial problems.
The Pride of the North were relegated from the Ghana Premier League four years ago and have been unable to find their bearings.
They finished sixth in the just ended Division One League Zone I and it does not look like a return to the Ghana top-flight is imminent.
''A lot of things are going on in RTU, we are trying everything possible to revive the club if not it will die,'' Abu told footballmadeinghana.com
''The club is suffering from financial problems and in fact, in other jurisdictions it could have been declared bankrupt.
''Some are saying the board members must be sacked but you cannot sack them because the board is made up of share holders who were not appointed, if you are dismissing them, you have to pay them.''
