Ghana Under-17 captain Eric Ayiah has denied claims of influencing player selection after being accused of picking his favourites 'mates'.
The youngster has been assailed by persons who believe he got too much say in Ghana's final squad for the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup in India.
He was accused of masterminding the sacking of WAFA left-back Inusah Adams prior to the tournament in the Asian country but he has flatly denied the claims as false.
"Our team manager got an accident along the line so I was the one the technical team passed information through to the players," he is quoted by bbles.blogspot.com
"Every week some players are asked to go home for others to come and join.
"The coaches called and gave me a list one Saturday and asked me to inform those players on the list to go home and I did exactly what I was told to do. So is not true I asked any player to go home.
"I was shocked to hear that I was the one sacking players from camp. How can I sack a player from national team camp."
