
CAF technical director Abdel-Moneim Mustafa Hussein has dispelled suggestions Ghana will play a fixed match with Uganda to help the Cranes in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
With Ghana having a slim chance of sealing a fourth consecutive World Cup berth, there are fears in Egypt the Black Stars will play it soft.
Egypt, who lead Group E with nine points, will secure their first World Cup since 1990 if they Congo at Borg El-Arab Stadium on Sunday and Uganda lose to Ghana.
''First of all, Ghana still has a chance to reach the World Cup, that’s why in case they defeated Uganda they will be waiting for Egypt’s result with Congo,'' Hussein .
''CAF is always watching all the games. We have a match observer and a referee observer in addition to television screens that can show everything. Manipulation is impossible.''
