Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey has been confirmed as Ghana captain when the Black Stars take on Uganda in their 2018 World Cup qualifier to be played in Kampala on Saturday.
Amartey, who can also play in midfielder, will captain his country for the first time as they play at the Mandela Stadium in Kampala for the crucial qualifier.
He has been named in coach Kwesi Appiah's starting line-up for the match as the captain of the visiting Black Stars side.
