Ex-Ghana international Augustine Arhinful calls on the nation to rally behind Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghana forward Augustine Arhinful has called on Ghanaians to support the newly appointed Black Stars coach, James Kwesi Appiah.

The former Al Khartoum coach is replacing Israeli tactician Avram Grant whose contract run out in February after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

''I want to say that Kwesi [Appiah] has gained much experience with our national team and he knows the African terrine already''

"All he needs now is to support him massive on his return to the Black Stars of Ghana,” Arhinful told Joy FM.

The Ex-Black Stars striker also advised people who were agitating that the job should be given to Cameroon gaffer Hugo Broos.

"Look...winning the AFCON trophy with Cameroon shouldn't be a yardstick that Hugo Broos should be given the nod to handle the senior national of Ghana"
