
President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has appointed Pius Enam Hadzide as the deputy Youth and Sports Minister-desiganate, according to media reports.
Hadzide, who was the campaign aide to the President during the December general polls and the national youth organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party is relatively unknown in sports circles.
He also contested the Ketu North Parliamentary seat during the December elections but lost out to James Klutse Avedzi of the National Democracy Congress (NDC).
Reports went rife last week that, managing director of Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei was the man earmarked for the role.
Pius Hadzide will be working with Isaac Asiamah, who is the substantive Minister in charge of the Youth and Sports Ministry of parliament once the mandatory vetting process is concluded.
