Ghanaian players in Egypt among worst paid on the continent
Ghanaian players in Egypt are among the worst paid in Africa after a survey by FIFpro.
This has accounted for Emmanuel Banahene's decision to tear up his contract with Ismaily because of the club's inability to fulfill their financial obligations.
FIFpro established the Egypt's league where a lot of Ghanaian players ply their trades is the fifth worst-paid of the 13 surveyed on the continent.
Over 90% of players said they were paid under $1,000 a month, which may be equivalent to Europe's worst-paid surveyed country (Ukraine) but which reflects poorly against the tally of just 5% in Morocco.
