Satellites to learn their opponents in three weeks
Accra, Nov 20, GNA- The Black Satellites, would in three weeks learn who they would be housed with at the group stages of the 2013 African Youth Championship (AYC).
Ghana will answer the roll call at the Algeria competition after booking a place in the biannual competition they last won in 2009.
Information pieced together by GNA Sports from the secretariat of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), indicates that the balloting for the competition has been fixed for Sunday, December 9, in Cairo, Egypt.
Seven countries plus host Algeria will be balloted into two groups for the March 16-30 tourney. Ghana, Benin, Egypt, Gabon, Mali, Nigeria and DR Congo complete the list of qualified nations for the Championship.
The Satellites, winners of the 2009 AYC plus the World Youth Championship (WYC) qualified on a 5-4 aggregate after a two-leg meeting with Morocco.
The four semi finalists of the competition would automatically qualify to represent the continent at the FIFA (WYC) billed for Turkey late 2013.
