Philanthropist supports Dixcove hospital with equipment
Dixcove (WR), Nov 20, GNA – The Nana Hemaa Dakyi Hospital at Dixcove in the Ahanta West District on Tuesday received equipment as gift worth 9,000 dollars from a citizen of the town based in the United States, Mr Augustine Arthur.
The items included wheel chairs, clutches, surgical materials, disposables and syringes.
The Dixcove Hospital serving 5,000 people according to Mr. Habib Ganiyu, Hospital Administrator, lacks equipment and this hinders healthcare delivery.
He noted that since the establishment of the facility years ago, it had not seen any major renovation or improvement in existing facilities adding that the hospital lacked ambulance.
Mr. Ganiyu expressed the hospital’s gratefulness to the donor and appealed to others to assist the hospital.
Nana Agyeman IX, Paramount Chief of Upper Dixcove, appealed to health care givers to woo their clients and give them the best of services.
