Papa Shee, The late Daddy Lumba
Evangelist, Papa Shee, has hinted of a new date for the funeral of the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, revealing that the ceremony is likely to be held next year.
Speaking on UTV, Papa Shee explained that the new proposed date had the backing of the musician’s sister, Akosua Brempomaa, along with several other family members.
“Lumba’s December 13 funeral cannot take place, it will be rescheduled to March 14 2026,” he said, adding that the family is yet to convey a meeting with the family head on the new proposed date.
The proposed date directly clashes with the 13 December 2025 burial date already agreed upon with the Manhyia Palace, raising fresh uncertainty about the final funeral arrangements for the iconic artiste.
Papa Shee’s declaration has ignited conversation among fans, industry players, and the general public, many of whom are now awaiting an official statement from Daddy Lumba’s immediate family to clarify the conflicting timelines.
