The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) is making all efforts to clamp down on drug trafficking and abuse in some parts of the Western Region.
A special team of NACOC from the headquarters in Accra, therefore, conducted a surprise raid at some suspected drug ghettos at Effiakuma, near Takoradi, last Saturday dawn.
The team, acting on intelligence, targeted specific suspected drug dens in the area.
The effort led to the arrest of several individuals. They also seized quantities of illicit substances in their operation.
