NANA AMAMPENE Boateng Twum II, the Chief of Nyinahin in the Shanti Region, insists the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has done well so they deserve to continue in political office.
According to him, the President Nana Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration has embarked on numerous developmental projects to improve on the lives of the masses in since assuming power.
The Nyinahin chief said what impresses him most is the fact that the NPP administration did not discriminate as they carefully spread their developmental projects to various places, including Nyinahin.
Addressing a durbar to welcome the NPP running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to their community, he said he was impressed by the NPP’s performance in Nyinahin so he wished they would continue to stay in power.
“Before the President Akufo-Addo-led NPP government came to power, Nyinahin and its surrounding communities were facing power problems as most of the communities were not connected to electricity.
“But, as I speak today, because of the good works of the NPP government, most of our power problems have been solved and this is a sign of a government that has performed in political office.
“In fact, this NPP government has constructed a hospital, stadium, schools, roads and other landmark projects here to help better the lives of the people and we are eternally grateful to them,” he pointed out.
Still highlighting the good works of the NPP government in Nhyinahin during the last eight years, he said “the NPP has also put in place policies to ensure the mining of bauxite at Nyinahin soon to benefit the people.”
The Nyinahin traditional leader, who was clearly in a happy mood, asked “what else do we want?”, indicating that the people of Nyinahin highly appreciate the good works of the NPP government.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh passionately appealed to the people of Atwima Mponua to vote for the NPP to retain power and sustain their good works, declaring that the NPP wants 90 percent of votes in the area.
