Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu
The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Manifesto Committee, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has stated that the party’s 2024 manifesto is a direct response to the pressing issues facing Ghanaians.
Speaking at the launch of the NPP manifesto, the experienced lawmaker revealed that the document is a fusion of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision and the aspirations of Ghanaians.
According to Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the manifesto addresses the concerns raised by citizens during Dr. Bawumia’s engagements with them.
“We have sieved their concerns and incorporated them into this manifesto, making it a bold attempt to respond to their issues,” he explained.
The Manifesto Chairman emphasised that Dr. Bawumia’s humility and willingness to listen to others’ ideas have enriched the manifesto.
“He acknowledges that he is not the sole repository of knowledge, wisdom, and experience. Therefore, we have combined his vision with the insights gathered from the people to create a comprehensive vision,” he stated.
Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu described the manifesto as a “mixed grill” of Dr. Bawumia’s focus and the citizens’ aspirations, fertilised by the ideas and concerns raised during his engagements with the people.
This collaborative approach, he believes, has resulted in a robust and inclusive manifesto that addresses the needs of Ghanaians, including economic growth, job creation, healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.
“The NPP manifesto is not just a document, it’s a response to the cries of Ghanaians,” Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said. “We have listened to the people, and we have developed a manifesto that addresses their concerns.”
“We are confident that our manifesto will resonate with Ghanaians,” Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu added. “We have a track record of delivering on our promises, and we are committed to doing even more in our next term.”
The NPP’s manifesto is expected to be a key campaign tool for the party as it seeks re-election in the upcoming general election.
