DSL, last year’s winner
Charter House, the organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards (GMA), has officially opened nominations for underground artistes to submit their entries for the prestigious “Unsung” category in this year’s edition of the awards.
The Unsung category is designed to provide a platform for emerging artistes to break into the mainstream music scene.
The winner of this category, who will follow in the footsteps of last year’s victor, Lynx Entertainment signee DSL, will have the opportunity to perform live at the awards ceremony alongside established artistes.
The event will be broadcast live on partner television stations and across various social media platforms, allowing fans from around the world to tune in.
The 25th GMA Unsung category is a Charterhouse initiative supported by Closeup Complete Fresh Protection.
To nominate your favourite artiste, simply share a picture of them on social media using the hashtag #25thGMAUNSUNG. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Several names, including Blazebwoy, Jhay Bhanks, Kpese Boy, Herokhins, Abbi Ima, Sally M Music, and Ratty Getpvid, have already been circulating on social media as potential nominees for the Unsung category.
