The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has vehemently denied appointing Sylvester Sarpong Sorprano as its Director of Communication.
The current administration of CPP stated that Soprano has not been authorised to speak on behalf of the party.
Sorprano, in a statement reacting to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s apology for his comments on Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, welcomed the apology and invited journalists to a press conference.
However, the CPP, in a statement signed by Joyce Larbie, Deputy Secretary, entreated the public to disregard any invitations coming from him in the name of the party.
The CPP further called on journalists to disassociate themselves from any media engagement with him regarding the CPP party
“The Convention People’s Party (CPP) write to inform your firm that the party’s current administration has not appointed Sylvester Sarpong Soprano as the Director of Communication and has not been authorised to speak on behalf of the party as such.
“We entreat you to disregard any invitation coming from him in the name of the party and further
disassociate any media engagement with him in respect of the CPP party.”
