The Ghana Police Service has arrested six additional suspects in connection with the attack and destruction of properties at the Ayawaso West Wuogon office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The incident occurred on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
The attackers are said to have destroyed some properties including two vehicles at the NPP office and one arrest was made earlier on July 8.
The police in a statement on Thursday, July 11, noted that six more of the suspects have been arrested in connection to the alleged crime.
The six suspects, identified as Alhaji Issah Kamara, Theophilus Kodzo Bedzra, Abdulai Victoria Naematu Nadolie, Hope Adzrah, Francis Agbessi Funu, and Christian Biakuse, are currently in police custody assisting with the investigation.
This latest development brings the total number of arrests related to the incident to seven.
The police have assured the public that all other suspects involved in the attack will be apprehended and brought to justice.
